CashDesk and VCHO join hands for Asian hospitality industry

HOOFDDORP – Asian delivery and take-out restaurants will soon have unique options for ordering, payment and delivery. The Association of Chinese-Asian Catering Entrepreneurs (VCHO) and CashDesk will work together to bring the Asian catering sector in the Netherlands to a higher level with the CashDesk POS system. An Indonesian restaurant in Dordrecht is the first to start using it.

‘Traditionally, the Asian hospitality industry has been known for takeout and home delivery. ‘We see how the needs of modern consumers keep changing, and our 1,300-plus members are adapting accordingly to keep up with the times,’ says Liping Lin, director of VCHO.

‘CashDesk has a complete platform that provides our hospitality entrepreneurs with everything they need to make their restaurant a success. That’s why we chose them as a partner, so we can provide maximum support to our members. It’s not just the POS system, but also the apps, QR codes and websites for ordering and delivery that give you an all-in-one solution through CashDesk. Moreover, the POS system delivers more orders compared to competitors and the transaction costs are much lower. The best part is that it is suitable for every type of restaurant in our industry. It offers every Asian hospitality entrepreneur a suitable solution.’

Kitchen coupon in the Chinese language

To support the unique cuisine of Asian cuisine, CashDesk has implemented special functionalities in the POS system. ‘Many Chinese restaurants bring in top chefs from China who can cook wonderfully, but hardly speak Dutch or English,’ says Arwin Schreuders, sales manager at CashDesk.

‘We have therefore made sure that the kitchen receipt with the customer’s order rolls out of the printer in Chinese or can be read on the screen. This way, orders can be taken quickly and digitally and there is no miscommunication with the kitchen. The chef knows exactly what dish is being asked for and can run his kitchen efficiently. That saves time which means the customer gets his dish faster.’

Order tracker

A new feature of CashDesk’s POS system is that consumers can see exactly what the status of their order is. Schreuders: ‘It should no longer come as a surprise that the takeout and delivery sector is all about speed these days. Many restaurants are already running at top speed. That’s why they now offer consumers clarity with the Order Tracker. They can track the order. At peak times, this leads to fewer phone calls to the restaurant because people don’t call if the delivery guy is a little late. This increases customer friendliness and the hospitality entrepreneur can concentrate better on his work.

Login and checkout
Another innovation of the POS system is that since this year, the hospitality entrepreneur’s checkout is completely in the cloud. ‘It’s login and checkout. So no more hassle with updating software on equipment, because CashDesk takes care of the maintenance,’ says Schreuders. ‘We make sure that everything works and we have arranged it with a payment provider in such a way that they immediately transfer the settled amount to the bank account of the hospitality entrepreneur. Today’s turnover, he can dispose of it immediately tomorrow. Everyone likes that.
